He would encourage Sequoia Hospital to get a <br /> group tagether from the hospital (employees) to look at progressive ways of doing traffic <br /> mitiaation. NORTH MAIN STREE PRECfSE PLAN—(Public Hearing) <br /> Mr. Passanisi mentioned that when the Main Street Precise Plan was originally sent out <br /> to the Planning Commission }ast week, only chapter 2 (Development Standards and <br /> Urban Desion Guid�linesl was sent ou#; chapters 1, 3 and 4 were not included. <br /> The entire document was put on the City's website for public access. This afternoan <br /> staff e-maiEed the Planning Commissioners and dropped off hard copies of the sntire <br /> North Main Street Precise Plan, so that the entire document would be reviewed before <br /> the meeting tonight. The added chapter totaled 10 pages and inc{uded#he following: <br /> Chap#er 1 —context, background, exis#ing plans, and Precise P1an's issues and goals. <br /> Chapter 3 — Capital improvement and the streetscape frontage renovations needed to <br /> promote an �rban streetscape character. <br /> Chapter 4 — actions requ+red ta put the new policies in place including amendments to <br /> the General Plan anci Zoning Map and Capita! improvements include street trees, lights <br /> and pedestrian crossings. <br /> Mr. Mehra rnentioned Valerie Young, Contract Planner for the I'fanning Department, <br /> who assisted in working an the CEQA portion of the document and was assisted by a <br /> couple of consultants, who wrote the tra#fic and noise studies for this Precise Plan. <br /> Terry Bottomley from Bottomley and Associates, an urban design consultant was hired <br /> to draft the Precise Plan. <br /> [v{r.
