Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. <br /> <br />JOB RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br /> Knowledqe of: <br /> Operation of public safety receiving and transmitting communications equipment. <br /> <br /> Department regulations pertaining to the dispatch of police and fire resources within the <br /> City of Redwood City and the other user agencies. <br /> <br /> Applicable roles and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission. <br /> Principles and practices of office management, supervision, training, evaluation, budget <br /> preparation and administration. <br /> <br /> Ability to: <br /> Remain calm in emergency situations and think and act quickly with good <br /> judgment. <br /> <br /> Handle and prioritize a va~ety of assignments and meet deadlines. <br /> <br /> Plan, organize and review the work of subordinates. <br /> <br /> Develop comprehensive plans from general instructions. <br /> <br /> Exercise independent judgment and work with a minimum of supervision. <br /> Write dear and concise reports, memoranda and correspondence. <br /> Communicate verbally and make public presentations. <br /> <br /> Establish, maintain and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those <br /> contacted in the course of work. <br /> <br /> Accomplish assignments with a minimum of supervision and with only general supervision. <br /> Supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff. <br /> <br /> Develop and monitor budget data. <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
