CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR (Continued) <br />Experience and Education: <br />Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required <br />knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and <br />abilities would be: <br />Experience: <br />Five years of progressively responsible experience in all areas of human <br />resources within the public sector, including recruitment and selection, <br />employee relations, labor relations and negotiations, classification and <br />compensation, worker's compensation and safety. At least three years of <br />supervisor experience is required. <br />Education: <br />Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university <br />with major study in human resources management, business <br />administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable. <br />License or Certificates: <br />Possession of a valid California Driver's License. <br />Work Environment and Conditions: <br />Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: <br />Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed; travel to attend meetings, <br />seminars, and conferences as required; and ability to work in a standard office <br />environment. <br />Effective Date: August, 1984 <br />Deactivated Date: December, 2012 <br />Reinstated Date: April, 2019 <br />Bargaining Group: Unrepresented Executive Management <br />Status: FLSA Exempt / Executive Management / At -Will <br />
