MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> <br />A. Status of Effort to Bring Ferry Service to Redwood City <br /> <br />Council Member Howard gave a background on the topic that began with the Blue <br />Ribbon Task Force recommendation to the Governor that a water transit authority <br />should be formed, funded, and commissioned to establish division of a streamlined <br />water transit throughout the Bay Area. Council Member Howard is the <br />Chair on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the Water Transit Authority (WTA). <br /> <br />Port of Redwood City Director Giari gave an introduction and a chronology. There is <br />now a draft final report on the ferry terminal and a presentation was made by <br />Michael Fains of CHS Consulting Group.
