By motion, authorize the filing of an application for program funds available under the 2019-20 TDA3 <br />Pedestrian and Bicycle Program and commit to completing the project if grant funding is awarded. <br />2. By motion, authorize the City Manager to execute related grant documents. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Transportation <br />BACKGROUND <br />On May 10, 2019, the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) issued a call <br />for projects for the 2019-20 Transportation Development Act Article 3 (TDA3) Pedestrian and Bicycle <br />Program. Approximately $1,950,000 is available for the 2019-20 cycle, of which $1,750,000 is for capital <br />projects, and $200,000 is for planning projects. This program provides funding for project development <br />and construction of bicycle and pedestrian facilities, maintenance of multi -use paths, bike lane re -striping, <br />and comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian master plans. Agencies are limited to one application for a <br />capital project and one for a planning project.
