described in the Development Agreement, Redwood Shores Properties and the <br /> City have agreed to supply sewage treatment capacity for the Project, and the <br /> City will provide water in sufficient quantities to serve the needs of the Project. <br /> <br /> (c) City staff have consulted with the Redwood City Police Department with <br /> respect to anticipated impacts on law enforcement resources. According to the <br /> Police Department, the Project is expected to have minimal impact. No new <br /> facilities or personnel will be required. <br /> <br />3.7.2 Potential Effect: Development of the Project could result in an increased number <br /> of pupils in area schools. <br /> <br /> Findings: The GIB hereby makes Findings (1) and (2). <br /> <br /> Facts in Support of Findings: <br /> <br /> (a) School fees will be paid directly to the Sequoia Union High School District, <br /> which collects fees for itself and for the Belmont School Dislzict. <br /> <br />3.8 AESTHETIC CONSIDERATIONS <br /> <br />3.8.1 Potential Effect: The Project will result in the conversion of undeveloped open <br /> space into an office park. <br /> <br /> Findings: The GIB hereby makes Finding (1). <br /> <br /> Facts in Support of Findings: <br /> <br /> (a) The Project site currently consists ora flat, filled area, lacking in natural <br /> vegetation or biota and surrounded by development. <br /> <br /> (b) The Project will consist of a campus-like office park. It will include ample <br /> landscaping and open space. A series of informal open spaces of different <br /> characters and size will be linked by tree-lined pathways. Common area <br /> walkways link the larger open spaces to each other, and also link the campus to <br /> surrounding amenities. The walkways will be lined with alleys of trees to make a <br /> pleasant, shaded pedestrian environment. <br /> <br /> (c) Visual impacts on adjacent properties, especially adjacent residential uses, will <br /> be minimized.
