self-contained on the Project site and would not affect off-site property owners.
Therefore, wind effects will not be significant.

(b) Although the Redwood Peninsula EIR identifies this impact as significant, it
also acknowledges that the significance of the impact will depend upon the design
of each project. The features incorporated into the Project, as identified above,
will mitigate this impact to below a level of significance.

3.4
3.4.i ~: Development of the Project could affect hydrologic patterns.
F_ilIIIJI~: The City hereby makes Findings (1) and (2).
Facts in Support of Findings:

(a) The Redwood Peninsula EIR states that development of the entire
Redwood Peninsula "is not expected to have significant impacts on hydrologic
patterns. During storms, runoff would drain more rapidly from developed areas
(structures and graded paving drain quickly) and would contribute higher peak
discharges to the lagoon system. However, the total volume requiring drainage
would~ be the same, developed or undeveloped. This is largely because the
subsoils have little permeability now and cannot be expected to take up much
runoffthrough infiltration." (Redwood Peninsula EIR. p. IVol 1 .)

(b) The Project will be required to meet drainage and stormwater regulations
of the Redwood City Engineering Division. In addition, the Project will be
subject to NPDES Guidelines and regulations relevant to storm waste
management.

3.5 IX_O_ISE

3.5.1 ~: The Project may increase noise levels associated with daily
activities, and could place people in areas that tend to be noisy.

F_illllil~: The City hereby makes Finding (!).

Facts in Support of Findings:

(a) The Project will not result in a significant increase in daily noise levels.
As an office project, it will generate little noise from recreation, and noise
from maintenance will largely be contained on-site.

-15-
EAFNDGCC.DOC
7/I 1/96 9:56 AM
