6.C. - Page 19 of 33 <br />(v) award of construction contract for the Project. <br />To the extent that the bidding for the Project includes alternate bid items, the PM <br />shall make recommendations for the alternate bid items, if allowed by budget, to be <br />included in the scope of the construction contract awarded by the CITY for the <br />Project. <br />The PM shall make recommendations to the CITY for award of a construction <br />contract based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The PM shall <br />assist the CITY in preparing the construction contract for execution and other <br />related administrative tasks in connection with the construction contract awarded <br />by the CITY for the Project. <br />3.0 CONSTRUCTION PHASE (TASK 3) <br />3.1 Administration and Coordination of Construction Contract and Construction. PM will <br />provide administrative, management and related services necessary to administer <br />the construction contractforthe Project, including, without limitation: <br />(i) Ensure that the Contractor performs the requirements of the construction <br />contract documents and enforce the Contractor's construction contract; <br />(ii) Receive, review for compliance, and forward to the CITY the contractor(s)' <br />certificates of insurance and bonds. Where requirements are not met, PM <br />will obtain compliance from contractor(s); <br />(iii) Advise, recommend, and prepare for the CITY the Notice(s) to Proceed <br />directing commencement of construction of the Project or portions thereof; <br />issuance of the Notice(s) to Proceed on behalf of the CITY as directed or <br />authorized by the CITY; <br />(iv) Schedule, coordinate and conduct pre -construction and construction <br />meetings; recording, maintaining and distributing minutes thereof within two <br />(2) working days; <br />(v) In consultation with the CITY and Architect, develop and implement <br />procedures for the submittal, processing, and tracking of submittals; <br />(vi) In consultation with the CITY and Architect, develop, implement procedures <br />for the handling and disposition of the Contractor's requests for information <br />("RFI") or clarifications, and tracking of this information; <br />(vii) Establish, implement procedures, and track the transmittal and receipt of <br />communications, drawings and other information between PM, Architect and <br />the Contractor relating to construction of the Project; <br />(viii) Assist the CITY in selection and retention of testing/inspection service <br />providers; <br />(ix) Review the Contractor's construction schedules and implement provisions of <br />the construction contract relating to the Contractor's obligations for <br />development, maintenance, updating and compliance with the construction <br />schedule for the Project; <br />(x) Establish site access, staging, lay down and storage areas; and, <br />(xi) Provide monthly progress reports with schedule and budget updates; <br />(xii) Monitor LEED construction certification; and, <br />REV: 08-28-19 PR <br />ATTY/AGR.2019.216/Gilbane (Page 16 of 30) <br />87 <br />
