(x) description of the process for bidding and award of the contract(s) for construction <br />of the Project; and, <br />(xi) requirements relating to bonds, insurance coverages and similar administrative <br />requirements. The job walk shall provide bidders with an overview of the site of the <br />Project and an understanding of the physical limitations and other constraints <br />affecting the work of the Project or portions thereof. <br />The PM shall: <br />(i) maintain a list of bidders and bidders' representatives attending a job walk; and, <br />(ii) record and transcribe minutes of the pre-bid conferences and job walk(s). The <br />bidders list shall be delivered by the PM to the CITY within twenty-four (24) hours <br />of a job walk. Minutes maintained by the PM shall be issued to all bidders who <br />have theretofore obtained the bid documents, the CITY, the Architect and other <br />parties as directed by the CITY. Where discussion changes the project <br />requirements, PM shall coordinate with Architect to ensure that comments are <br />incorporated into contract documents. <br />2.7 Opening/Reading of Bid Proposals. The PM shall assist the CITY in the public <br />opening, reading, and recording of bids. During bid opening, the PM shall record <br />the results of each bidding; including identities of the bidders, the amount <br />proposed by each bidder, and amounts proposed for bid alternates. The PM <br />shall identify the apparent low bidder(s). If the Project was not subject to a <br />Request for Qualification (RFQ pre -qualification process), the PM shall review <br />the apparent low bidders' Statement of Qualifications to determine if the low <br />bidder meets the minimum qualification requirements. <br />2.8 Review of Bid Proposals. Recommendations for award of construction contract. <br />The PM shall review submitted bid proposals to determine: <br />(i) whether the bidder submitting the bid proposal is a responsible bidder; and, <br />(ii) whether the bid proposal is responsive to material bidding requirements. <br />2.9 Bid Recommendations. PM shall make recommendations to the CITY regarding: <br />(i) rejection of a bid proposal based upon the "non -responsibility" of the bidder; <br />(ii) rejection of a bid proposal for non -responsiveness to material bidding <br />requirements; <br />(iii) rejection of a bid proposal for any other reason; <br />(iv) rejection of all bid proposals; and, <br />(v) award of construction contract for the Project. <br />To the extent that the bidding for the Project includes alternate bid items, the PM <br />shall make recommendations for the alternate bid items, if allowed by budget, to be <br />included in the scope of the construction contract awarded by the CITY for the <br />Project. <br />The PM shall make recommendations to the CITY for award of a construction <br />contract based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The PM shall <br />assist the CITY in preparing the construction contract for execution and other <br />related administrative tasks in connection with the construction contract awarded <br />by the CITY for the Project. <br />REV: 08-21-19 PR <br />
