During construction of the
Project certain effects upon the environment can, and shall be reduced to
an acceptable level, as follows:

(i) Air Quality Effects. Air quality effects upon the
environment shall be mitigated through surface watering as
necessary to prevent emanation of fugitive dust and particulates.
The Developer shall be responsible for the implementation of all
dust and particulate control measures. Said mitigation measures
shall be implemented by conditioning the planned development
permit (PD #10315-5; the "Planned Development Permit"),
approved by and in conjunction with the Second Amendment, with
the foregoing mitigation measures.

(ii) Noise. Noise related to construction activities shall be
mitigated or abated in accordance with the noise ordinance of the
City of Redwood City (RC Code Chap. 24 [§ 24.1, et seq.]).
Compliance with said ordinance shall be monitored by the
Developer and the City pursuant to the Planned Development
Permit and said noise ordinance.

(b) Visual. The visual effect of the Project will not be significant
because the Project is essentially a substitute of buildings and structures
providing for a different kind of use than that originally planned, described

Reso-49 4
G:\Shared\Redwood~Council
06/20/96
