By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a one-year special services <br />agreement with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore for training workshops and consulting services in an <br />amount not -to -exceed $5,360, bringing the City's total annual contract with Liebert Cassidy <br />Whitmore to $275,360. <br />2. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to enter into an annual contract with Liebert <br />Cassidy Whitmore for training workshops through the San Mateo County Employee Relations <br />Training Consortium on a year-to-year basis, in an aggregated amount up to $100,000. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />Providing professional training and development opportunities is significant part of the City's overarching <br />commitment and goal of developing a skilled, diverse and well-prepared workforce to serve the <br />employees and residents of Redwood City. The City is a member agency of two separate training <br />consortiums, the Regional Training and Development Consortium, and the Liebert Cassidy Whitmore <br />(LCW) San Mateo County Employee Relations Training Consortium. <br />These training consortiums are comprised of regional public sector agencies and various other <br />professional organizations.
