6.D. - Page 25 of 38 <br />Expectations <br />A. Parts and Materials <br />Contractor is expected to maintain an inventory of common parts and materials needed <br />to maintain the City's water pumps and motors. Contractor must have materials needed <br />for preventative maintenance available at all times. <br />Please describe in the Proposal, Contractor's ability and average timelines for obtaining <br />parts and materials. <br />B. Staffing <br />Skilled and competent workers shall perform all work in a timely, neat, and orderly <br />manner. City may refuse to accept work or workers who do not meet these standards. <br />Contractor shall be responsible for any damage caused by their operations and shall repair <br />or replace, as directed by the City, said damage within a reasonable time. <br />The Contractor shall also maintain and provide direct phone numbers, cellular phone <br />numbers, and email addresses of key staff with whom the City can maintain regular and <br />direct contact regarding scheduling, billing, status reports, and other items. <br />C. Contractor's Shop <br />The Contractor shall have or establish adequate shop and storage facilities. Contractor's <br />facility shall house the necessary equipment and materials for repair and maintenance of <br />the City's water pumps. <br />D. Contractor's Equipment <br />The Contractor is responsible for having all equipment necessary to perform the work <br />described in Attachment A — Scope of Services. Contractor's staff must be experienced <br />and capable of operating such equipment, and Contractor must maintain Contractor's <br />equipment in good working order. <br />E. City's Right to Inspect and Require Work <br />The City of Redwood City reserves the right to make such inspections whenever necessary <br />to ascertain that the requirements of this agreement are being fulfilled. Deficiencies <br />noted shall be promptly corrected at Contractor's expense. <br />Notwithstanding the separate Liquidated Damages clause, if Contractor fails to perform <br />the work required by the terms of the agreement in a diligent and satisfactory manner, <br />the City may, after 30 days' written notice to Contractor, perform or cause to be <br />performed, all or any part of the work required hereunder. Contractor agrees that it will <br />reimburse the City, and the City may deduct the amount from any sum owed Contractor. <br />The waiver by the City of a breach of any provision of this agreement by Contractor shall <br />not operate or be construed as a waiver of any subsequent breach by Contractor. <br />PUBLIC WORKS SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />FY2018-19 WATER PUMP PM AND ON-CALL REPAIR RFP <br />13 of 25 <br />152 <br />
