10/11/2010 <br />Attachment 1.A <br />4.12 Public Services <br />• Impact 4.12 -1: The New General Plan allows for development that could <br />increase the demand for fire protection and emergency services in the plan <br />area. This increase could require additional staffing or expanded facilities <br />over time to meet the increased demands. However, the New General <br />Plan does not identify or directly permit any new fire protection or <br />emergency facilities the construction of which could result in <br />environmental impacts, and any such future facilities would be subject to <br />environmental review pursuant to CEQA requirements. Therefore, this <br />impact is expected to be less than significant. <br />• Impact 4.12 -2: The New General Plan allows for development that could <br />increase the demand for police services in the plan area. This increase <br />could require additional staffing or expanded facilities over time to meet <br />the increased demands. However, the New General Plan does not identify <br />or directly permit any new police services facilities the construction of <br />which could result in environmental impacts, and any such future facilities <br />would be subject to environmental review pursuant to CEQA <br />requirements. Therefore, this impact is expected to be less than <br />significant. <br />Impact 4.12 -3: The New General Plan allows for development that could <br />increase the demand for schools and child care centers in the plan area. <br />This increase could require additional staffing or expanded facilities over <br />time to meet the increased demands. However, the New General Plan <br />does not identify or directly permit any new school facilities the <br />construction of which could result in environmental impacts, and any <br />such future facilities would be subject to environmental review pursuant to <br />CEQA requirements. Therefore, this impact is expected to be less than <br />significant. <br />• Impact 4.12 -4: The New General Plan allows for development that could <br />increase the demand for libraries in the plan area. This increase could <br />require additional staffing or expanded facilities over time to meet the <br />increased demands. However, the New General Plan does not identify or <br />directly permit any new library facilities the construction of which could <br />result in environmental impacts, and any such future facilities would be <br />subject to environmental review pursuant to CEQA requirements. <br />Therefore, this impact is expected to be less than significant. <br />4.13 Recreation, Parks and Open Space <br />• Impact 4.13-1: The additional demands on existing parkland from the <br />increased population allowed by adoption of the New General Plan would <br />not cause a substantial physical deterioration of existing facilities, because <br />AM /RES0/RES0.2055 /ATTACHMENT1.A 10 #15059 <br />10/13/10 MUFF # 601 <br />
