01/10/2011 <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> Training Consortium Agreement for Special Services <br /> This agreement is entered into between the City of Redwood City, a <br /> Governmental Agency, hereinafter referred to as "Member Agency," and the Regional <br /> Training and Development Consortium for Public Agencies, training collaborative that <br /> provides employee development programs to member agencies, hereinafter referred to as <br /> "Consortium." <br /> Whereas, Member Agency has the need to secure training and organizational <br /> development services to employees to assist in providing leadership to the organization <br /> and services to the community; <br /> Whereas, Member Agency has determined that in partnership with other local <br /> agencies the costs to provide development services is reduced as is staff time spent <br /> administering employee development programs; <br /> Whereas, Member Agency has determined that by being a member of the <br /> consortium the quality and quantity of employee development programs is increased; <br /> Now, therefore, it is agreed as follows: <br /> Training Consortium Services: <br /> During the year beginning July 1, 2010, Consortium will offer five different <br /> training programs to Member Agency. The course offerings will be determined based on <br /> the training needs analysis done of member agencies and as approved by the Governing <br /> Board. <br /> The Consortium will explore developing an interactive website or learning <br /> management system that will be made available to the Member Agency during the <br /> program year of July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. The features of the system will <br /> include: <br /> a. On -line training programs <br /> b. Training Needs Assessment <br /> c. our offerings se o ermgs and registration procedures for courses offered by San Mateo <br /> County member agencies. <br /> d. Information regarding degree programs offered by local, state and national <br /> universities. <br /> e. Career development and assessment tools. <br /> Fee: <br /> The Consortium will provide these services for fees recommended annually by <br /> the working committee and approved by the governing board of the Consortium.
