osi�oizoi2 <br /> Finding: Implementation of MM GEO—4 would reduce impacts from bank erosion to the <br /> project to a less than significant level. <br /> Facts in Support of Finding: Re-vegetating a creek bank with native vegetation is a recognized <br /> method for stabilizing and supporting a creek bank subject to erosion, and therefore <br /> Implementation of MM GEO—4 would reduce impacts to the project from erosion, <br /> as described in Section 2.3—Geology, Soils, and Seismicity of the Draft EIR on <br /> pages 64-75, which is hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> Hazards and Hazardous Materials <br /> Impact: Impact HAZ—1: Demolition of the existing structures could expose on-site <br /> construction workers and other sensitive receptars adjoining the project site to <br /> asbestos containing materials and lead-based paint during demolition activities. <br /> Mitigation: MM HAZ—1: Prior to commencing the demolition of the buildings on the project <br /> site,the applicant shall demonstrate compliance with Section 19827.5 of the <br /> California Health and Safety Ordinance Title 17 regarding the presence of asbestos in <br /> the buildings and the California Code of Regulations(CCR), Division 1, Chapter 8: <br /> Accreditation,Certification, and Wark Practices for Lead-Based Paint and Lead <br /> Hazards in the buildings. <br /> Finding: Implementation of MM HAZ— 1 would reduce impacts during demolition activities <br /> from asbestos containing materials and lead-based paint to a less than significant <br /> level. <br /> Facts in Support of Finding: Implementation of MM HAZ— 1 would ensure that any building <br /> materials containing lead-based paint and/or asbestos would be handled and disposed <br /> of by qualified construction personnel in compliance with state health and safety <br /> regulations, as described in Appendix C of the Draft EIR, (Finger Avenue Nine-Lot <br /> Planned Development Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration, November 2008, <br /> pages 40-43),which is hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> Impact: Impact HAZ—2: Construction activities would include the temporary and short- <br /> term transport and handling of various construction materials that are classified as <br /> hazardous materials (e.g., diesel fuel, oil, gasoline, and architectural coatings). <br /> Mitigation: MM HAZ—2: The primary contractor responsible for construction shall prepare a <br /> safety plan.
