This report will <br />include summary-level results of the workshop as well as detailed photographs or transcriptions of all <br />wallgraphics, activity results, comment cards received, and other documentation of the workshops. The <br />workshop summary will also clearly identify key issue areas for further exploration in the third round of <br />community workshops and outreach. <br /> <br />MI G will provide one full-color eledronic copy if the report to the Ciry. <br /> <br />B9: Workshop Activity Materials (Workshops 7-8) <br />Deliverable #8: Round 3 Workshop Materials <br /> <br />Due f:y: May 2008 <br /> <br />MIG will develop innovative, hands-on materials tailored to support the seventh and eighth community <br />workshops, including presentation materials, comment cards, and up to six (6) appropriate maps for each <br />event. <br /> <br />MIG will provide all materials to the Ciry in full-color eledronic jOrmat at least ten dqys befOre each event (or earlier as needed if <br />agreed upon with the Ciry in advance). The Ciry will be responsible jOr printing and plotting materials as needed <br /> <br />BI0: Workshop Round 3 (Workshops 7-8) <br />Dates: May/June 2008 <br /> <br />The third round of workshops will consist of one large four-hour workshop and one small two-hour <br />workshop. Based on the findings of the needs assessment and baseline conditions reports and the community <br />visioning process, MIG will work with the City, Fehr & Peers, OP AC, and the Multicultural Institute to craft <br />an interactive design charrette that will enable the community to put its collective vision into physical form in <br />a feasible manner. Skilled designers will support residents as they make key decisions about how to improve <br />mobility in the Fair Oaks community, while transportation specialists will address questions and concerns to <br />ensure that the plan can become a reality. A smaller workshop, also charrette-style, will be conducted <br />following the large workshop to provide a separate opportunity for participation. The smaller workshop may <br />also target a specific group-for instance, children and youth may participate in this workshop after school. <br />MIG will work with the City to identify the most appropriate time, place, and audience for the second <br />workshop. <br /> <br />At the final workshop, the MIG Team will present draft streetscape plans and mobility improvement <br />strategies based on the months of work the community has done.
