Dates: Duration of project MIG will provide overall project coordination and will participate in up to seven (7) two-hour project team meetings with Redwood City to prepare for workshops, provide information and direction on the project, and get feedback on development of ongoing work products. These meetings will also provide an opportunity to discuss desired outcomes for the outreach process; review draft workshop content; and set preliminary guidelines for the public workshop process. C2: Existing Conditions Report Deliverable # 12: Exis ting Conditions Report Due !?J: November 2007 The MIG Team will analyze the existing conditions information gathered from the data and the initial site tour. OP AC will also conduct an analysis of the existing condition of the pedestrian bridge in the project area. As appropriate, Redwood City will provide base maps in digital format, and MIG will create maps of the project area. These analyses and maps will be used in discussions with staff, during public presentations, and for development concepts and strategies to improve mobility. MIG will provide one full-color electronic copy oj the report to the Ciry for distribution, and will use the report as the basis for developing workshop materials and approaches. C3: Transportation Needs Assessment Study Dates: November 2007 to February 2008 Led by Fehr & Peers with support from OP AC, the MIG Team will conduct a comprehensive transportation needs assessment to identify barriers to mobility in Fair Oaks and propose preliminary design options to address these barriers. This study will examine all elements of transportation and mobility in Fair Oaks, from bicycle routes to pedestrian crossings to transit access to traffic engineering at interchanges and along major corridors. The needs assessment will also take special note of design concerns affecting the pedestrian bridge in the study area based on OP AC's expertise in this area. As part of this study, Fehr & Peers will analyze existing conditions information gathered from the data and the initial site tour. Fehr & Peers will gather available data including traffic counts and forecasts from recent studies, collision records from the City of Redwood City, as well as general observations gained during site visits and the site tour. Fehr & Peers, with City consultation, will also conduct pedestrian and bicycle counts at the Woodside Road intersection with Middlefield Road, and at the pedestrian bridge. These analyses and maps will be used in discussions with staff, during public presentations, and for development concepts and strategies to improve mobility. C4: Transportation Needs Assessment Report Deliverable #13: Needs Assessment Report Due !?J: February 2008 This report will summarize the results of the Transportation Needs Assessment Study and will propose clear next steps to help guide the community process as workshops begin and the public becomes involved in the project. Fehr & Peers will assess transportation conditions and needs-based data collected and site observations conducted during the tasks described above. Fehr & Peers will identify key opportunities for improvements to bicycle and pedestrian circulation, as well as transit access, including an analysis of at-grade crossing opportunities at Woodside/Middle field, during which Fehr & Peers will identify potential lane and signal configurations and the potential traffic impacts that could result. It is envisioned that the needs assessment will help to frame the discussion of improvement options. MIG will provide one full-color electronic copy oj the Needs Assessment Report to the Ciry for review, and will complete one round oj edits bifore finalizing the document.
