12/15/2003 <br />Program's Technical Advisory Committee prepared a new San Mateo Countywide <br />Stormwater Management Plan for the period from July 1998 through June 2003 and <br />compiled other information needed to reapply for NPDES permit reissuance; and <br />WHEREAS, under the authority of the City /County Association of Governments <br />(C /CAG), all of the municipalities in San Mateo County submitted an NPDES permit <br />renewal application, including a Stormwater Management Plan, which met the San <br />Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board's requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />adopted a renewed municipal stormwater NPDES permit CA0029921 and Waste <br />Discharge Requirements for all municipalities in San Mateo County on July 21, 1999, <br />which was to remain in effect for five years; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />reopened the existing municipal stormwater NPDES permit CA0029921 and <br />Wastewater Discharge Requirements for all municipalities in San Mateo County to <br />include revised new development and erosion control language and adopted the revised <br />municipal stormwater NPDES permit CA0029921 on July 21, 2003; and <br />WHEREAS, the adopted renewed NPDES permit requires that all of the <br />municipalities in San Mateo County again reapply for reissuance of their municipal <br />stormwater NPDES permit by January 23, 2004; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo Countywide Stormwater Pollution Prevention <br />Program's Technical Advisory Committee prepared a new San Mateo Countywide <br />Stormwater Management Plan for the period of July 2004 through June 2009 and <br />compiled other information needed to reapply for NPDES permit reissuance; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo Countywide Stormwater Management Plan 2004- <br />2009 represents mainly a continuation of the stormwater pollution prevention and <br />control activities and costs that are currently being implemented; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has held a public hearing about application <br />for reissuance of the NPDES permit, including the San Mateo Countywide Stormwater <br />Management Plan, 2004 -2009; and after the public hearing, the City Council resolves <br />the following: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City that: <br />1. The City of Redwood City hereby agrees to reapply to the San Francisco Bay <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board for reissuance of the municipal <br />stormwater NPDES permit to discharge water from the municipally owned <br />storm drain system; and <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1436 14567 <br />110403 2 <br />
