(' 1'7:, AGREEMENT FOR COOPERATIVE ACTIVITIES INCLUDING. COOPERATIVE PURCHASING THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of day of , by and between the SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT: and the WITNESSETH . WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to enter into an agreement for cooperative activities, including but not limited to the purchasing of standard supplies and equipment; and WHEREAS, Chapter 5 of Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code com~rlslng Sections 6500 through 6515 of said Code, authorizes public agencies to enter into agreements for the joint exercise of powers which are common to the parties to such agreement; and WHEREAS, the public interest, convenience and necessity will be served thereby: NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and of the mutual terms, covenants and conditions herein contained, said parties, acting by and through their respective governing boards, do hereby mutually convenant, promise and agree as follows: 1. The parties hereby agree that the purchasing of standard supplies and equipment under this Agreement, and the distribution thereof for the cooperative shall be done by the Sequoia Union High School District. Said school district is designated as the agency to administer this Agreement. 2. The parties hereto shall agree upon administrative rules and regulations to implement the cooperative purchasing authorized by this Agreement. Said rules and regulations shall be in writing but may be amended at any time by mutual agreement of the parties. * 3. Sequoia Union High School District shall be. entitled to pro rata reimbursement of its costs incurred in the performance of this Agreement. Each district or public agency shall be obligated to pay to the purchasing school district as its costs the same percentage of the total costs as their dollar share of the purchases made under this Agreement bears to the total dollar purchases made for the cooperative. 4. Each of the parties hereto shall provide insurance and coverage sufficient to provide protection for itself and to the other school dlstricts. 5. Pursuant to the joint exercise of powers law comprising Sections 6500 through 6515 of the Government Code of the State of California, the Sequoia Union High School District shall be the agency to administer and execute this agreement and may, in order to carry out the purposes of this Agreement, exercise in its o\~n name all the powers given it by law. There shall not be a separate agency or entity created by this Agreement.
