<br />01/11/2010 <br /> <br />Waste Disposal and Clean-Up at Events <br />A. A clean-up and waste disposal plan must be provided as part of the Courthouse <br />Square Event Permit Application. <br /> <br />B. All trash, litter, equipment, signage and other temporary fixtures related to the <br />event must be removed to restore the Square to its original condition. <br /> <br />C. The Permittee will meet with City staff and the entity responsible for the <br />maintenance, if different from the City, in order to review the clean-up of the <br />Square and to determine if additional clean-up measures are required. <br /> <br />D. The Permittee is required to pay a refundable cleaning and damage deposit for <br />all costs incurred by the City to clean and/or restore the Square. The Parks, <br />Recreation and Community Services Department will collect and maintain the <br />deposits. If the surface of the Square requires power washing because of stains <br />resulting from the Permittee's activity, the City will provide the power washing <br />services and retain the deposit or portion thereof. If the Permittee restores the <br />Square to its original condition, prior to the event, the deposit will be refunded. <br /> <br />Recycling <br />A. A Recycling Plan must be submitted with the Courthouse Square Event <br />Application. This plan will address strategies to reduce and recycle waste <br />generated by the event. <br /> <br />B. The recycling containers must be properly disposed of throughout the event and <br />at the conclusion of the event. <br /> <br />C. Failure to follow the recycling plan may forfeit the ability to rent or lease City- <br />owned property for any future use. <br /> <br />Amplified Sound <br />A. Authorized use shall be subject to the following conditions: The number of <br />loudspeakers, their location and direction, power output and the hours during <br />which they may be used, shall be subject to written approval of the Parks and <br />Recreation and Community Services Department. <br /> <br />B. The Permittee shall immediately comply with the direction of the Police <br />Department or onsite City designee's request to reduce the sound generated by <br />the event. <br /> <br />Toilet Facilities <br />A. The placement of portable toilets and hand washing facilities in Courthouse <br />Square is prohibited. <br /> <br />Page 70f21 <br /> <br />Admin.
