ORDINANCE NO. 2102 ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1993 EDITION" "ARTICLE IV. BUILDING CODES" THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

"ARTICLE VIII. ELECTRICAL CODE <br /> "DIVISION 1. ADOPTION OF CODE <br /> "Section 9.110. (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq., of the <br /> Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br /> the National Electrical Code, 1993 Edition, as published by the National Fire <br /> Protection Association, and the Uniform Administrative Code provisions for the <br /> National Electrical Code, 1993 Edition, as published by the International <br /> Conference of Building Officials, are hereby adopted and shall be in effect within <br /> the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in full herein except as <br /> expressly amended by the provisions of this article. <br /> "(b) In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions of <br /> the National Electrical Code, 1993 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> Electrical Code, or the Uniform Administrative Code provisions for the National <br /> Electrical Code, 1993 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the Uniform <br /> Administrative Code, and the provisions of this chapter, the requirement which <br /> prescribes and establishes the higher standard of safety shall apply unless <br /> otherwise stated in this article." <br /> "Section 9.111. Section 203 of the Uniform Administrative is hereby <br /> deleted." <br /> "Section 9.112.
