Such provisions are not intended to prevent the use of any <br />engineering design not referred to herein provided any such alternate has been <br />approved by the Building Official. The Building Official may approve any such <br />alternate provided the Building Official finds after review of comprehensive <br />design data submitted by the applicant, that the design is for the purpose <br />intended, at least the equivalent in strength, safety, and effectiveness. <br /> <br /> Division 2.
