Section 9.121. Applicability of Provisions: The provisions of this <br />Division shall be applicable to that portion of the City underlain by Younger Bay <br />Mud as indicated on that map prepared by Building & Inspection of the City <br />entitled "Area of Redwood City Underlain by Younger Bay Mud," and on file in <br />the office of the Building Official. <br /> <br /> Section 9.122 Foundation Design Criteria for One and Two-Story <br />Residences: For one and two-story residential buildings or structures only, all <br />lot grading, soils design, foundation design, and construction design shall be in <br />accordance with the recommendations of the "Recommended Foundation <br />Design Criteria for One and Two-Story Residences" prepared by Rutherford and <br />Chekene, Consulting Structural Engineers, (dated April 15, 1974), as revised by <br />the addendum dated April 12, 1999, and as adopted by the City Council, which <br />document is on file in the office of the Building Official. <br /> <br /> Section 9.123. Structural Design: All structural design shall be in <br />accordance with the Uniform Building Code, 1997 Edition, including lateral force <br />provisions for wind and earthquake. <br /> <br /> Section 9.i24. Foundation Systems: Foundation systems shall consist <br />of mat, grill, piles or a similar system with a demonstrated ability to resist <br />differential settlement and for tying the foundation elements together. <br />Foundation design shall be in accordance with the Uniform Building Code, 1997 <br />edition. <br /> <br /> 2165 <br />ORD-O01 22 <br />FXS:jfl:mkc <br /> <br /> <br />
