SWC:mf 7/7/82 ~ 2. 1 8 6 1 JUL 1 9 1982 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1982 - JUNE 30, 1983; PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE OF ALL SUMS SET FORTH IN SAID BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR EMERGENCY EXPENDITURES, TRANSFERS, ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS OF EXISTING APPROPRIATIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSITION OF UNENCUMBERED MONIES AND FUNDS AT THE CLOSE OF FISCAL YEAR 1981 - 1982; AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 32.15 OF THE REDWOOD CITY CODE RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF PROCEEDS COLLECTED UNDER ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 32, OF SAID CODE; ADOPTING THE BUDGETS FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS NO. 1-64, NO. 1-65, NO. 2-65, AND NO. 3-65 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1982 - JUNE 30, 1983; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1841, AND ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

<br />1983, the budgets certified by the City Clerk and City Manager, and <br />so designated and included in the general City budget adopted by <br />Paragraph 1 of this Ordinance. <br /> SECTION 9. Provision of Interim Expenditures as of July 1, <br />1983. All unexpended and unencumbered General Fund balances at the <br />close of the Fiscal Year June 30, 1983, except for those amounts <br />otherwise legally disposed of, are hereby appropriated to the <br />General Fund program "Resources Held in Reserve" for purposes of <br />expenditure during the interim period between the close of the <br />Fiscal Year June 30, 1982, and the date of adoption of a 1983-84 <br />Fiscal Year budget. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />to transfer monies appropriated to the program "Resoures Held in <br />Reserve" pursuant to this section from said program to any other <br />program or budget item established by this 1982-83 Fiscal Year <br />Budget Ordinance, for expenditure from such other program or <br />budget item, without further Council approval for such transfer; <br />provided, however, that the sum of all expenditures of General <br />Fund monies during the Fiscal Year July 1 , 1982 - June 30, 1983, <br />plus any interim period for which this authorization is effective <br />shall not exceed the total amount appropriated by this 1982-83 <br />Fiscal Year Budget Ordinance. <br /> All unexpended and unemcumbered balances in all funds other <br />than the General Fund at the close of the Fiscal Year June 30, 1982, <br />are hereby appropriated to those same funds for purposes of <br />expenditure during the interim period as previously specified in <br />this section. Any fund(s) which has or have no unexpended and <br />unencumbered balances as of June 30, 1983, shall receive no <br />additional appropriation during said interim period, and no <br />expenditure of monies shall be authorized during said interim period <br />except by separate action of this Council. <br /> SECTION 10.
