<br /> CGM:rb 7/14/83 <br /> GM:rb 10/19/83R <br /> CGM:rb 10/24/83R <br />" (g) Guard Dog: Any dog trained to guard, protect, <br />patrol, or defend any premises, area, yard, or guard <br />any person, property with or without the need for <br />direct human supervision. <br />" (h) Guard Dog Company: Any person who agrees to <br />furnish trained sentry, guard, attack or narcotic <br />detection dogs for hire. <br />" (i) Health Officer: That person appointed as such by <br />the board of supervisors of the county and any other <br />person duly authorized by him to act on his behalf. <br />"(j) Impoundment: The taking up and confining of an <br />animal by the chief of animal control. <br />" (k) Kenne I : Any enclosure, premises, building, <br />structure, lot or area in or upon which dogs or cats <br />of at least four (4 ) months of age are kept, harbored <br />or maintained, for commercial purposes. <br />" (I) Owner: Person legally entitled to possession of <br />the animal or member of the household or business <br />where an animal is being kept, or a designated agent <br />of that household. <br />" (m) Person: Any person, firm, association, <br />organization, partnership, business trust, corporation <br />or company. <br />" (n) Poundmaster: Whenever the word "poundmaster" is <br />used in this chapter, it shall be construed to mean <br />the chief of animal control. <br />" (0) Vicious Animal: Any animal, except a trained dog <br />assisting a peace officer engaged in law enforcement <br />duties, which demonstrates any or all of the following <br />behavior: <br />(1) An attack, without provocation, which requires a <br />defensive action by any person to prevent bodily <br />injury or property damage or that results in an injury <br />to a person or property, or any behavior, without <br />provocation, that constitutes a physical threat of <br />bodily harm to a person, where such attack, injury or <br />behavior occurs in a place where such person is <br />conducting himself peaceably and lawfully. <br /> For purposes of this subsection, a person is <br />peaceably and lawfully upon the private property of an <br />owner of the animal when he is on such property in the <br />performance of any duty imposed upon him by the laws <br /> 2 <br /> .- -p.".", <br />
