JAN 9 1984 ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 12.18.5 AND 12.18.6 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROVIDING FOR HAZARDOUS WASTE AND MATERIALS THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Sec~on 12.18.5 is hereby added to the Code of the " City of Redwood City to read as follows: "Section 79.101 of the fire code is hereby amended to read as ~. follows: Section 79.101. ( a) General. The storage, use, dispensing and mixing of flammable and combustible liquids shall be in accordance with this article, except as otherwise provided in other laws or regulations

<br /> (d) The storage, handling and dispensing of flammable and <br />combustible liquids shall be in accordance with U.B.C. Standard No. 9-1, <br />"Flammable and Combustible Liquids," and the requirements of Division I <br />of Article 80 of the Fire Code as added thereto pursuant to Section <br />l2.l8.6 hereof, except as otherwise provided in this Article or in other <br />laws or regulations legally in effect. (For U.B.C. Standard No. 9-1, <br />see U.F.C. Standards.)~ <br /> , <br /> SECTION 2: Section l2.l8.6 is hereby added to the Code of the City <br />of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> "Article 80 (commencing with Section 80.101) of the Fire Code is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> ARTICLE 80 <br /> HAZARDOUS MATERIALS <br /> Division I <br /> GENERAL PROVISIONS, <br />SCOPE; DEFINITIONS <br /> Sec. 80.101. Except as otherwise provided herein, the regulations <br />contained in this Article 80 supplement existing federal, state and local <br />regulations relating to the storage, use and transportation of hazardous <br />materials. <br /> The following terms shall have the meaning set forth below. <br /> Abandoned. When referring to a storage facility, means out of <br />service and not safeguarded in compliance wih this Article. <br /> Facility. A building, appurtenant structures, or <br />surrounding land areã used by a single business entity at a single <br />location or site. <br /> . <br /> (3) <br /> -.--.- <br />
