o R DIN A N C E N o. 1.958 --------- ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13.38 OF CHAPTER 13; REPEALING SECTION 20.93 OF, AMENDING SECTION 20.95.2 OF, AND ADDING DIVISION 11 TO ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 20; AND AMENDING SECTION 28.2 OF CHAPTER 28 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE PARKING OF VENDING VEHICLES, WAGONS AND PUSHCARTS THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. Section 13.38 of Chapter 13 of the Redwood City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 13.38. Duration; Fixed Position. Mobile food vending vehicles in a fixed position shall comply with state health laws and regulations and the provisions of this Code

Permit Required. It shall be <br />unlawful for any person, firm, partnership, association or <br />corporation to engage in the business of operating any <br />vehicle, wagon or pushcart from which goods, wares, <br />merchandise or food are sold, offered for sale, bartered, <br />exchanged, displayed or solicited, or any vehicle, wagon or <br />pushcart used or intended to be used in the transportation <br />of property for hire, which vehicle, wagon or pushcart is <br />parked or left standing upon any one portion of any street <br />within this city for a period exceeding thirty consecutive <br />minutes, without having first obtained from the Chief of <br />Police either a single-event vending permit or a yearly <br />vending permit for the operation of said vehicle, wagon or <br />pushcart. <br /> "A 'single-event' vending permit shall be required in <br />order to permit a vehicle, wagon or pushcart to park or <br />remain standing in one location on a public street for a <br />period of time in excess of thirty consecutive minutes, on a <br />specific date. <br /> "A 'yearly vending permit' shall be required in order <br />to permit a vehicle, wagon or pushcart to park or remain <br />standing in one location on a public street for a period of <br />time in excess of thirty minutes, more often than once a <br />year. <br /> "Section 20.213.
