6.C. - Page 18 of 53 <br />7) Roof <br />5�PA <br />Z_1 4 <br />q--�2 <br />The roof shall be attached to the top sidewall rail construction. Made up of <br />formed bows. They shall be welded to the sidewail to create additional strength. <br />8) Attachment of cape to Chassis <br />The steel cage is to be attached to the cab across the entire width of the cab using 14 <br />gauge tube. After the attachment assembly is welded it is to be riveted to cab roof. <br />9) External Body <br />Shall be of Alucobond or equivalent for the external body. The material shall be made <br />of aluminum and composite. Prior to body panels being attached they shall be coated <br />with an adhesion to ensure a clean bonding application. The sidewalls shall be <br />insulated with cello foam type one. The lower panels shall consist of fiberglass skirting. <br />The skirts and panels are to be sealed with a high strength bonding adhesive. The roof <br />cap is to be constructed of reinforced material. Which should be a one-piece <br />assembly. <br />10)Bumpers <br />The vehicle shall be equipped with chassis manufacturer's standard front bumper. <br />The rear bumper shall be two part an inner and outer portion. The inner portion is to be <br />made up of a minimum 11 gauge formed channel bolted through the frame rail. <br />11)CIELINGS <br />The interior ceiling shall be constructed of luan plywood and vinyl assembly. The vinyl <br />and plywood is to be joined together using industrial adhesive. <br />12)Flooring <br />The floor structure shall consist of steel frame tubing. A minimum of 518" moisture <br />resistant wood is to be used in the flooring. The flooring is to be rubber Transit floor <br />type. <br />13)Stanchions Grab Rails Barrier Panels <br />The stanchions and grab rails are to be made of 1 '/4" type stainless steel tubing. They <br />shall be anti -vandal and none slip type. The modesty barrier panels are to be made of <br />stanchion material and vinyllfabric covered foam padded 1/2" plywood. All Stanchions, <br />grab rails and bars, passenger assist devices must comply with all applicable ADA <br />requirements. <br />14)Entrance Door & Steps <br />The driver and co-pilot entrance doors are to be standard chassis manufactures'. The <br />passenger door is to be a commercial style electrically operated door panel. The door <br />is to be constructed of a minimum 16 gauge steel tube which has a black powder coat <br />finish. The door panel is to be finished with mill finish aluminum extrusion the outside <br />of the door is to have smoked black safety glass. The opening of the door is to be <br />controlled by the through a switch panel in the driver's area. The front door step well is <br />70 <br />
