Cali#ornia Government Code Sec#ion 65302.3 requiures that a lacal general plan and/or specific plan be cansistent with the applicable airport/land use compatibility criteria in the relevant adapied air- port land use plan. The goals,development standards and urban design g�idelines,and plan implementation provisions contained in this Precase i'lan are consistent with the relevant/land use com- patibility cxiteria can#ained in the 1996 San Mateo County Compre- hensive Airpor#Land Use Plan,as amended,for 5an Carlos Au•port. ABAG has pro- posed criteria that are common.to various definitions of "smart �,xawth:'This includes developement that: • Revitalizes central cities and older suburbs; • Supports and enhances public.transit; • Promotes walking and bicyclirtg; • Preserves open spaces and agricultural land; • Bnsures a gaod znatch between income levels and hausing prices. ABAG does not however,exercise regulatory control aver the Pre- cise Plan Area. Precise Plan Goals and Issues This Precise Plan provides#or land uses that are allowed under fhe City's General Plan and Zoning Ordinance.
