Park
Hi Blake,
Can't make the meeting Tuesday, but wanted to give you my comment for the record.
As the Chair of the Planning Commission at the time of the Marina Shores Project EIR and
Measure Q referendum, I am deeply disappointed at the new Peninsula Park Project.
The voters were clear that they did not want a project of this scale on the east side of
101 for a multitude of reasons including ]zeight, density, water usage and traffic.
The new projact while making some minor adjustments, makes no major concessions in these
areas and again fails to meet the current zor.ing or match the building hea.ght currently
within the area.
I personally stil3 believe a project of this size is absolutely inappropriate for bayside
development. However, Im sure the current
commission feels otherwise so - I would strangly urge the Planning
Cammission to carefully review the staff alternatives with apprapriate height limita and
at the same time create a project with a variety of heights that will keep the open
feeJ.ing east of 101 and tha communities views of the bay.
Hope a11 is going well with you,
Hilary Paulson
1
