(c) Traffic and Circulation. The Project will result in significant <br /> <br /> environmental effects relating to traffic and cimulation, summarized <br /> as follows: (i) US 101/Woodside Road-the Project will cause an <br /> unmitigatable adverse impact regarding traffic effects upon the <br /> southbound US Route 101 ("US101")"Loop" Off-Ramp connecting <br /> <br /> to the eastbound lane of Woodside Road. (ii) Marsh <br /> Road/Bayfront Expressway-the Project, with cumulative traffic <br /> effects, will result in a level of service ("LOS") "D," the current LOS <br /> for moming peak-hour traffic; but shall cause a LOS E to LOS F in <br /> the aftemoon peak-hour traffic. Said effect shall be mitigated by <br /> conditioning Project approvals upon financial commitment to <br /> construction of the following improvements, the costs of which shall <br /> be borne by the Project Proponent in proportion to benefits <br /> conferred thereby upon the Project including, if appropriate, full <br /> funding: Left and right through lanes southbound, widening of the <br /> southbound approach to accommodate two lanes for a distance of <br /> 800 feet; dual right turn lanes on the eastbound approach to the <br /> intersection, approximately 400 feet in distance. <br /> <br /> (iii) Seaport/Blomquist/East Bayshore-the Project will substantially <br /> burden traffic at the intersections of BIomquist Street and East <br /> Bayshore Boulevard with Seaport Boulevard, resulting in a <br /> <br />DES:rg 9 <br />Reso-25a <br />G:~shared~edwoo(ACouncil <br />03/04/96 <br />04/01/96R <br /> <br /> <br />
