<br />ation Measures <br /> <br />HYD-2: The levee strLlctures shall be designed and constructed in <br />accordance with the reconunendations of a licensed professional <br />engineer and COE standards as detailed in the Design and <br />Construction of Levees, Engineers Manual (or the successor <br />document), regulations as put fourth in 44 CFR 65.1 (identification <br />and mapping of special hazard areas), and City of Redwood City <br />requirements. Levee crest height for the final structure after <br />anticipated settlement shall not be less than that ofthe adjacent <br />Redwood Shores Exterior Levee Upgrade Project levees (to provide <br />some freeboard from coastal flooding hazards). Specifically, the <br />levee design shall consider I) current site elevations including <br />anticipated uplift or subsidence rates, 2) current rates of <br />sedimentation, as appropriate, 3) conservative estimates of sea level <br />rise, and 4) potential on-site hydraulic changes. Ongoing inspection <br />and maintenance of the levees shall be conducted in accordance <br />with the recommendations of a licensed professional engineer and <br />COE guidelines.
