6.E. - Page 30 of 50 <br />Meter Population <br />The City has approximately 24,000 metered water service connections. To date approximately 17,000 <br />of those metered service connections have been converted to AMI with 7,000 manually read meters <br />planned to be converted. The table below represents the approximate quantity of meters the City <br />intends to convert to AMI by size and is likely to purchase for that purpose in the coming years. All meters, communication modules, antennas and connectors shall be guaranteed against <br />defects in materials and workmanship for a period of at least forty (40) months from the date of <br />shipment or thirty-six (36) months from the date of installation whichever period is longer. <br />Compliance with Industry Standards <br />Displacement type meters sizes 5/8 x 3/4", W, 1", 1 %", and 2" shall meet or exceed ANSI/AWWA <br />Standards C700 and/or C710 as most recently revised. Must be compliant with NSF/ANSI Standard 61. <br />Must be UL Approved. <br />Turbine type meters sizes 1 %" through 10" shall meet or exceed all requirements of ANSI/AWWA <br />Standard C701 for Class II turbine meter assemblies. Must be compliant with NSF/ANSI Standard 61. <br />Compound type meters size 1 %" through 8" shall meet or exceed ANSI/AWWA Standard C702 for Class <br />II compound meter assemblies.
