6.C. - Page 2 of 75 <br />City Attorney, Veronica Ramirez has been serving as City Attorney since September 6, 2016, and most <br />recently received a salary increase on September 3, 2018. City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz has been <br />serving as City Manager since October 12, 2015, and most recently received a salary increase on October <br />15, 2018. The City Council conducted performance evaluations for the City Attorney and City Manager in <br />January 2020. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Following the recent performance reviews, the City Council Personnel Subcommittee considered <br />appropriate salary and benefit adjustments for the City Manager and City Attorney, with consideration <br />given to a cost -of -living adjustment (COLA), performance, internal equity, and relative position within the <br />labor market. In order to reward successful performance, and to maintain competitive compensation <br />packages, the City Council Personnel Subcommittee recommends salary increases for both the City <br />Manager and the City Attorney. The recommended adjustments are as follows: <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The combined salary increases will result in an estimated total annual cost of $56,000.
