Contractor will receive from the County messaging, materials, toolkits, and training to support census <br />education. Contractor may adapt and tailor messaging and materials for local residents to ensure they <br />are as engaging, relevant, and compelling as possible. Contractor will be responsible for printing <br />outreach materials. <br />Contractor will receive from the County a Mobile Census Kit with the following materials to support <br />outreach and Contractor will use these materials in its outreach efforts: <br />• Tablecloth <br />• Census posters <br />• Pens and other outreach items <br />• Materials stand <br />Outreach activities will be conducted in a social -cultural and linguistically tailored manner, including in <br />English, Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog, and other languages based on population. Materials will be <br />adapted to ensure social -cultural and linguistic appropriateness. Activities undertaken by Contractor <br />will include, but not be limited to, the following: <br />• Advance Census outreach through reaching a target goal of fifteen thousand (15,000) HTC/LLTR <br />residents in San Mateo <br />• Promote and obtain 250 pledges using regional text tool (Text COUNT to 650-200-2743 to <br />receive information about Census 2020) <br />• Contractor will upload all Census related events into Cureo calendar (log -in provided by <br />coordinator Thrive Alliance) <br />• Contractor will outreach to local community members, posting census material (i.e. posters, <br />flyers, postcards) throughout libraries, businesses, and partner sites, increasing awareness at <br />the local level (grassroots) <br />• The library will focus census outreach on the following groups: children ages 0-5, <br />Hispanic/Latinx, homeless, low income, and seniors, each group will receive tailored marketing <br />strategies <br />• Contractor will develop posters, flyers, and postcards in English and Spanish, that provide <br />census information and advertise OAK <br />• Collateral materials will be posted in all library locations and facilities throughout City of <br />Redwood City and distributed to targeted populations. <br />• The Library will market the census, yet not limited to: Redwood City utility bill insert, Library's <br />eNewsletter, the City of Redwood City's eNewsletter, bus shelters, on the 101 electronic <br />billboard, school eNewsletters, project READ participants, Traveling Storytime preschool <br />outreach program, DYE Conference, banners at the Library and on Jefferson overpass, social <br />media including Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, and Twitter, and Library website <br />• Contractor will advertise in local newspapers, on local news channels such as PenTV and <br />Univision <br />• Contractor will participate in 3-4 community events per month and bring Census 2020 <br />materials with them <br />• Each partner shall promote Census outreach efforts through at least two (2) public service <br />announcements, per month, between starting no later than March 1, 2020 and ending in July <br />2020 <br />• Contractor will partner with TaxAid at Fair Oaks Branch <br />• Contractor shall incorporate Census education into existing events, programs, and newsletters, <br />beginning no later than March 1, 2020 and through the term of the Agreement <br />Page 12 <br />ATTY/AGR.2020.04812020 Census - County of San Mateo (Page 12 of 18) <br />
