From: annette parker
To: PublicComment
Subject: OPPOSITION - Traffic Calming on Vera Avenue -
Date: Monday, April 27, 2020 11:42:22 AM
As a long, long-time resident of Redwood City and homeowner on Lincoln Avenue for almost 40 years, I
want to express my opposition to the traffic calming proposition on Vera Avenue! What a complete waste
of money. As more people are walking and bike riding in our City because of the Corona Virus they just
need to use common sense.
What a complete waste of our taxpayer money!! Do we need signs to tell us where we can and cannot
walk and bike? I say NO. Why don't you use that money to bail out some of the mom and pop places
really effected by this pandemic..
Getting sick of the control freaks on this City Council... We are not Oakland...
This too will pass... then what? Taking down the signs - everything back to normal? Who will be
enforcing this anyway? Robberies and crimes are rampant - the cops can't even keep up.
The City is always complaining about being broke? Stupid planning!!
Annette Parker
Resident of RC
