6.1. -Page 31 of 52 <br />each individual tree. Failure to submit invoices in this format may result in non-payment until <br />these requirements are met. <br />M. Payment <br />If a contract is awarded, the method of payment to the Successful Proposer shall be on an hourly <br />basis with a maximum "not to exceed" fee as set by the Successful Proposer in the proposal or <br />as negotiated between the Successful Proposer and the City. Payment will be made within thirty <br />(30) days of receipt of an accurate invoice. Payment will be made no more frequently than <br />monthly. <br />N. Withholding Payment <br />The City may withhold payment to such extent as may be necessary to protect the City from <br />loss due to one or more of the following reasons: <br />• Defective or inadequate work not corrected. <br />• Claims filed or reasonable evidence indicating probable filing of claims. <br />• A reasonable doubt that the contract can be completed for the balance unpaid. <br />O. DIR Registered Contractor <br />The Contractor must be registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code §§ 1772.5 and 1771.1, <br />and provide its DIR contractor number in Attachment A — Proposal Pricing Form. <br />P. Redwood City Business License <br />The Successful Proposer must either possess a current, valid Redwood City business license or <br />have submitted a Redwood City business license application and fee at the time of contract <br />award. Business license information (application, ordinance, fees) can be found by navigating <br />to the City of Redwood City homepage (www.redwoodcity.org) and selecting "Business," <br />"Starting a Business," "Business Licensing." <br />Q. Other Certifications and Requirements <br />All firms submitting proposals must hold a valid State of California C-27 and a C -61/D49 <br />Contractor's License.
