Objective: Establish and get feedback on citywide land use, housing, and transportation <br />alternatives with the goal of developing general plan goals, policies. and implementation <br />measures. <br />. Tasks/Milestones: Affinity group meetings, interactive Planning Commission/General <br />Plan Committee workshop series, flier update, survey, e-notice, media relations, <br />materials for City website updates <br /> <br />Wave3: Validation/Celebration <br />. Objective: Get public buy-in on selected land use/housingltransportationalternative(s) <br />and General Plan elements <br />. Tasks/Milestones: Workshops with Planning Commission/General Plan Committee, e- <br />notice. media relations, "gazette," materials for City website updates <br /> <br />3.1 Collect/Review Data and Finalize Public Involvement Program/Schedule <br /> <br />This task will include review and compilation of outstanding background material on past and <br />related public outreach activities that might help infonn direction for current efforts. <br /> <br />As part of this, CirclePoint will meet with the City's Public Information Officer. (PIO) as well as <br />community development staff for input on outreach completed to date as it may influence <br />changes to future public engagement efforts. <br /> <br />CirclePoint will also conduct a brainstonning session with the City planning staff and Hogle- <br />Ireland to confirm: <br /> <br />. Key messages for each wave of the planning process (recognizing that such messages <br />may need to be adjusted as public comments warrant) <br />. Input on thelooklfeeVformat for infonnational materials <br />. Timing/general format for public workshops/roundtables <br />. Timing/approach for interacting with affinity groups . <br /> <br />CirclePoint will use findings from these efforts to prepare a Public Participation Schedule/Process <br />Diagram that serves as a flexible road map and can be shared with policy makers and <br />stakeholders.
