SCHEDULE A

7E
Page 9

Target Music on the Square

This program of activities follows a very successful summer season of programming in
the newly-renovated downtown Redwood City. In the fall of 2006, the City of Redwood
City unveiled a 6 city block downtown that included wider sidewalks, a plaza set adjacent
to a renovated historical courthouse (now a museum), and a user~friendly approach to
entertainment. The City of Redwood City has envisioned the downtown area as a place
for people from Redwood City and other Peninsula cities to gather with the hopes of the
area being known as the entertainment capitol of the San Francisco Peninsula. The Parks
and Recreation Department has made a commitment to staffing activities downtown and
integrating the programs there into its year-round schedule of activities. The
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City brought cover bands, movies,
dancing instructional groups and weekend family programming to the area for four
months during the summer of 2007. It also began developing a year-round program of
subsidized events designed to build a vibrant downtown. The success in the summer of
2007 enabled the city to begin planning for a more ambitious activity schedule in the
summer of2008.

The Target Family Sundays would be June 8, July 13, August 10 and September 14 and
be held between I p.m. and 4 p.m. in Courthouse Square, on Broadway between
Middlefield and HamiltOn and on Theater Way. The four Sundays would each be themed
to include activities specific to that particular day. Target would be branded with a 20' x
3' banner across the front of the stage, as well as a booth provided for each of the Family
Sundays. With the exception of a limited amount of food and beverage, all activities will
be free and open to the public.
