From: Sister Christina Heltslev
To: GRP -City Council
Subject: Cannabis Storefront NOT wanted
Date: Sunday, October 25, 2020 5:20:18 PM
Hi,
Thank you for ALL of the significant work you all do for us.
It has just come to my attention, and the attention of many of my neighbors this evenin,g that
you will considering the allowance of up to six Pot shops in Redwood City. One of the places,
I understand, under consideration is the Woodside Plaza. Please reconsider approving this.
We have schools all around Woodside Plaza and this neighborhood community is literally
filled with families and children.
Given the tax benefits to the City, I understand the temptation to grant approval to concerns of
this type to operate in RWC. Please find other more creative and family -friendly ways to raise
funding for our City. Again, do not amend Article 59 to allow, regulate or permit cannabis
storefronts in RWC.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sister Christina Heltsley
8.B. Amendments to Article 59 of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance to allow
cannabis storefront retail and Amendments to Chapter 32, Article V, Division 7 to
regulate cannabis storefront retail and update operating requirements for
cannabis businesses
