6.13. - Page 31 of 39 <br />!( � KennedyJenks <br />Task 5: Project Management and QA/QC <br />5.1 Project Management <br />Project management includes project setup, submittal of monthly project status reports, tracking of <br />project schedule and internal coordination to keep the project on schedule and budget. The scope herein <br />assumes an 12 -month project duration <br />Deliverables: status reports and monthly invoices (assume 12 month duration). <br />5.2 Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) <br />Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities are integrated into Kennedy Jenks' project <br />management system from project inception, through execution to final document submission. Kennedy <br />Jenks uses experienced senior staff, familiar with, but not directly involved in the project work, to provide <br />QA/QC review of work products and project deliverables. All submittals will be reviewed by senior <br />engineers prior to submittal to the PREP Parties. <br />Task 6: As -Requested Support <br />6.1 As -Requested Support <br />As -requested items would be upon authorization only. Activities may include but not be limited to: <br />• Additional alternatives or more detailed analysis of flows, <br />• water quality or ROM analysis beyond assumptions in Task 1, <br />• engineering support for Pulgas Facility point of connection <br />• additional meetings/webinars beyond those defined in Task 4, <br />• institutional support provided by Paul Brown, if requested, <br />• initial public outreach considerations such as a potential program timeline, public outreach <br />concept strategy, development of FACT sheets and listing of funding opportunities, as previously <br />included in earlier versions of the scope of work, and <br />• new items identified by PREP Parties. <br />A budget allowance will be assigned but the actual effort will be confirmed with the PREP parties prior to <br />authorization. <br />Project Team <br />Kennedy Jenks will lead the PREP Phase 3 Feasibility Study with support from one subconsultant: <br />Michael R. Welch, Ph.D., P.E <br />Dr. Welch has over forty years' experience in planning and implementing California recycled water, <br />wastewater, groundwater, water, and desalination projects. Dr. Welch's experience with indirect potable <br />reuse/reservoir water augmentation (IPR/RWA) dates back to 1990, when he prepared a feasibility study <br />for the San Diego County Water Authority that assessed the potential for discharging purified recycled <br />water to San Vicente Reservoir as a supplemental source of raw water supply.
