From: Doug Woodroofe <br />To: GRP -City Council <br />Subject: South Main Mixed Use Project comments <br />Date: Monday, November 9, 2020 11:03:06 PM <br />Good evening Mayor Howard and councilmembers. <br />My name is Doug Woodroofe and along with my <br />business partner Jeff Warrenburg we have been in <br />discussion with Greystar since early 2019 to include a <br />roller skating facility as part of the south main mixed <br />use project. <br />We were in continuous discussions through 2019 up <br />until early 2020 when we made the decision to <br />withdraw from the project due to uncertainties <br />surrounding COVID-19 <br />But, as of last month, after a discussion with Lisa Vande <br />Voorde, the leader of a local grassroots group to save <br />Redwood Roller rink, and re-evaluating the current <br />state of COVID and the economy, we have re-engaged <br />Greystar and have signed an exclusive negotiation letter <br />as of today. <br />would like to take a quick moment to thank <br />Councilman Ian Bain for the original introduction to <br />
