Scott; <br />Council Member <br />deployed body -worn cameras all expressed similar concerns regarding the <br />The Town of Colma is in receipt of the 2015-2016 Grand Jury report filed on May 24, <br />City Officials 2016 entitled "Body Cameras -- The Reel Truth." The Town's response to the Grand <br />Sean Rabe Jury report is detailed below, and was approved by the City Council of the Town of <br />City Manager Colma at its regular City Council meeting held on July 27, 2016. <br />Kirk Stratton FINDINGS <br />Chief of Police <br />Christopher Diaz <br />F1. The Atherton, Belmont, Foster City, Hillsborough, and Menlo Park Police <br />City Attorney <br />Departments have deployed body -worn camera systems. <br />Caitlin Corley <br />City Clerk <br />Town Response: The Town agrees with this finding ,based on its review of the <br />Brian Dossey <br />Grand Jury report entitled "Body Cameras — The Reel Truth. "It should be noted, <br />Administrative Services <br />Director <br />however, that the Town has no independent basis to confirm this finding other than <br />the Grand Jury report. <br />Lori Burns <br />Human Resources Manager <br />F2. The Sheriff's Office and five of the city police departments that have not <br />Brad Donohue <br />Public Works Director <br />deployed body -worn cameras all expressed similar concerns regarding the <br />implementation of these systems, the cost of equipment, the cost of data retention, <br />Michael Laughlin, AICP <br />and policy development. <br />City Planner <br />Cyrus Kianpour Town Response: The Town neither agrees nor disagrees with this finding, but <br />City Engineer agrees to the extent such information was provided for in the Grand Jury report <br />entitled "Body Cameras — The Reel Truth. "It should be noted that the Town has no <br />independent basis to confirm this finding other than the Grand Jury report as it was <br />not one of the police departments interviewed for the report. <br />F3. The Atherton, Belmont, Foster City, Hillsborough, and Menlo Park Police <br />Departments have budgeted sufficient funds to manage the cost of equipment, data <br />retention, and policy development. <br />.O <br />
