8.C. - Page 6 of 9 <br />• Host Community Meetings: <br />o Host meetings between March 2021 - May 2021 (please see timeline for details) <br />o Discuss items such as the RFQ and artist selection process. <br />o Provide selection input: public feedback on design elements once the artist/s are <br />selected color schemes, themes, design choices, etc. <br />• Ongoing Community Survey <br />o Throughout the public engagement process we will have an ongoing survey to ensure <br />those who can't attend meetings have opportunity to share their input <br />o This survey will be drafted by our Steering Committee <br />o Comments will be collected and discussed at each meeting <br />MURAL DETAILS <br />• These will be discussed with the steering committee and confirmed early 2021. <br />o Selection criteria, methodology and RFQ would be discussed <br />• Site has not been identified yet. <br />o The Commission will work with the City to discuss potential sites that will make this <br />mural possible. Once a few viable locations are confirmed, we will present the top <br />options to present to the Steering Committee. <br />TIMELINE <br />Below is an overall breakdown of the project's next steps: <br />• December 2020 /January 2021 - Finalize work plan to present to the City Council <br />o Arts Commission discuss the details on the work plan to present to the City Council <br />• January 11, 2021 - Include work plan in the City Council agenda to move forward with project <br />o Work plan to be reviewed and provide any feedback and/or guidance for the <br />Commission in order to proceed with mural engagement <br />■ Propose the use of capital improvement funds for this project <br />• January 2021- Steering Committee Outreach <br />o Once we receive an endorsement for the plan by the City Council, we can share the <br />survey with willing steering committee persons soon thereafter. <br />■ Collect surveys in January.
