and Federal laws. All mechanical harvesters shall be cleaned prior to deployment to reduce the risk of introducing new invasive species into the Lagoon. Contractor shall notify City staff 24 hours prior to any planned deployment. City staff shall be allowed to conduct a visual inspection of equipment prior to use. e. Material Disposal. Contractor shall be responsible for disposal of all debris, trash, plant and algae material removed from the Lagoon, at the City's request. City may provide temporary storage area for materials during work season. Disposal costs will be reimbursed by weight with a percent mark-up as outlined in the fee schedule. All plant material should be as dry as possible prior to disposal. Receipts and dump tags will be required for reimbursement. All disposal requests shall be carried out annually no later than October 31. f. Chemical Applications. Contractor shall follow the draft Lagoon Management Plan: Redwood Shores Lagoon, July 2003 (http://www.redwoodcity.org/home/showdocument?id=1802), and any updates to the Lagoon Management Plan thereof, to identify needs, set schedules, notify and advise the City of recommended algaecide and herbicide treatments as well as provide notification prior to treatments. Copper based algaecides are prohibited from being used in the Redwood Shores Lagoon. Contractor shall provide state licensed staff, equipment and chemicals to carry out applications safely and pursuant to County, State and Federal laws and be able to specify name(s) of the registered applicator(s) that will perform chemical application activities. Applicators must possess a Qualified Applicator License or Qualified Applicator Certificate. Contractor shall provide copies of licenses or certificates for all applicators that will be applying chemicals under this project. g. Bathymetry/Mapping Services. Contractor shall provide bathymetric or mapping services as requested by the City. h. Equipment. Contractor shall provide an up-to-date list of equipment that will be available to the project for the term of the agreement. A minimum of two (2) aquatic harvesters are required to be available for the duration of the project to assist in aquatic weed and algae removal. Contractor shall ensure that replacement equipment is readily available at all times to meet the needs of the operation.
