<br />5.1F <br />Page 17 <br /> <br />A preliminary design submittal will be prepared for each detailed reconnaissance Site. The <br />submittal will contain a preliminary site plan, preliminary retrofit design drawings, a preliminary <br />estimate of probable cost, recycled water demand projection, and a preliminary construction <br />schedule. Two (2) copies copy will be submitted to the City: one copy for the City's reference <br />file and one copy to be delivered to the Customer for review. This is considered the preliminary <br />design submittal. It is anticipated that no significant comments will be received from the <br />customer after submittal of the preliminary design and 110 revision or resubmittal of the <br />preliminary design will be required. <br /> <br />Task 5 - Final Retrofit Design <br /> <br />The engineering labor effort for Final Retrofit Design is estimated to be 41 hours per customer <br />site. <br /> <br />Task 5.1 - Final Design Drawings <br /> <br />Detailed AutoCAD design drawings will be developed from digitization of existing site maps, <br />record drawings or aerial photos. The on-site retrofit will indicate the location for capping of <br />potable lines, new connections to the recycled water systems, necessary provisions for cross <br />connection control, backflow prevention and separation, location of signage to comply with State <br />and County Health Departments and construction details. The limits of work shaH include the <br />Customer recycled water meter and box and continue throughout the irrigation or industrial <br />system as necessary for a complete retrofit. Work shall include identification and design of any <br />modifications of the existing on site irrigation or industrial system to bring it into conformance <br />with local and state standards for recycled water. A typical Final Design Package will consist of <br />four 11 x 17 inch sized drawings: <br />· A title page showing an overall plan view of the building, existing utilities, <br />landscape, adjacent properties and recycled water use areas <br /> <br />· A detailed view of the actual work to be performed around the existing <br />meters, highlighting the areas for separation and point of connection <br /> <br />· Standard drawing details <br /> <br />· Standard notes <br /> <br />Task 5.2 - Final Construction Cost Estimate and Schedule <br /> <br />A final estimate of probable cost and a construction schedule will be prepared for each Site. <br />This cost estimate will include cost of materials, labor, and contractor overhead and profit. <br /> <br />Task 5.3 - Submit Final Design Package to City <br /> <br />A final design submittal will be prepared for each Site. The submittal will contain the final <br />design package, a final estimate of probable cost and recycled water demand, a final construction <br />schedule, and a checklist for the City to use in its review of the submittal. Three (3) copies of <br />the submittal will be submitted to City staff for review and approval.
