<br />5.1F <br />Page 19 <br /> <br />Provide office engineering support and construction observation and management services <br />during the retrofit construction period. <br /> <br />Task 8.1 - Construction Engineering Support <br /> <br />Services shall include review of shop drawings and responses to requests for information and <br />clarification. Consultant shall provide design services, if needed during construction for change <br />order related work. These services may including preparation of drawings, specifications, and <br />cost estimates. It is anticipated that 108 engineering labor hours will be required per Group Bid <br />for Construction Engineering Support. <br /> <br />Task 8.2 - Construction Observation Services <br /> <br />Visit the Project sites to observe construction at critical points, discuss with Contractor the <br />correction of any defects, and make recommendations as to replacement or correction of <br />defective work. It is anticipated that construction observation will be performed on a part time <br />basis, depending upon the complexity ofthe retrofit and customer related issues. It is anticipated <br />that 24 construction observation labor hours will be required per site. <br /> <br />Task 8.3 - Construction Management <br /> <br />Receive and review all certificates of inspections, tests and approvals. Consultant's review of <br />such certificates will be for the purpose of determining that the results certified indicate <br />compliance with the Contract Documents and will constitute an independent evaluation that the <br />content or procedures of such inspections, tests or approvals comply with the requirements of the <br />Contract Documents. The independent evaluation does not constitute certification of inspections, <br />only that they conform to contract documents. <br /> <br />Assist the City in coordinating and scheduling the startup and for refining and adjusting the <br />system or equipment. Upon completion of the individual site Retrofits, Consultant shall advise <br />City in writing that the Retrofit has been completed in accordance with the construction contract <br />documents and any changes thereto, in accordance with all applicable codes, ordinances and <br />regulations. Review contractor's submittals for measurement and payment of work, and <br />recommendation to the City for payment on a monthly basis during construction. <br /> <br />It is anticipated that 214 labor hours will be required for Construction Management Services for <br />the Group 1 Bid. <br /> <br />Task 8.4 - Cross-Connection Testing and Conversion <br /> <br />Consultant shall provide oversight during the cross-connection tests. These tests will be <br />conducted by the contractor and performed before connecting the Customer's recycled water <br />system to the Water Utility's recycled water system at any use-site where both recycled and <br />potable water are present. It is anticipated that 3 labor hours per site will be required for Cross- <br />Connection Testing and Conversion. <br /> <br />Task 8.5 - Coordinate Final Inspections and Contract Close-out <br /> <br />Agreement over $IOK 13 <br />Rev-3 052308 <br />
