i <br /> f the Board of Trustees o f the Town ot Redwood Olty:--- <br /> change the official grade of any street or streets upon whiCh'. has <br /> been laid the road bed and rails of said railway , the Said grantee <br /> of this franchise, its s ooessors or assigns, shall, at its or their <br /> expense, raise or lower said road bed and rails to conform to said <br /> raised or lowered grade . <br /> All the foregoing mentioned work to be done to the <br /> satisfaction of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City. <br /> FIFTH: Said grantee, its successors and assigns, shall construct <br /> all necessary Busses and oulverts for the free passage of surface <br /> water under the traoks of said railway wherever and whenever eoe s- <br /> sary and all such culverts and flumes shall be constructed in accord <br /> ante with plans and specifications approved by the Town Engineer and <br /> the Board of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City <br /> Said grantee, its sooessors or resigns, shall ave the <br /> right to excavate and remove such portions of the streets occupied <br /> or to be occupied by its tracks as may be necessary to properly <br /> t construct said railway, provided however, that if said grantee, <br /> its successors or assigns, shall in constructing said railway, or <br /> any part thereof, or any of the appurtenances thereunto belonging, <br /> . <br /> cut or injure any sewer, underground aqueduct or pipe line on or <br /> under said a. street s. the same shall be repaired and left in as good. <br /> condition as formerly by said grantee, its successors or assigns , <br /> - at its or their own expense <br /> = T <br /> SIXTH: The Town of Redwood City in granting this franchise <br /> k <br /> reserves the right to pave, macadamize, renew or sewer any of the <br /> any <br /> streets occupied by said railway, and to lay gas, water or other <br /> pipes thereon or thereunder: said work to be done at such times <br /> and in such manner as to interrupt, interfere with or injure said <br /> railway and the operation thereof as little as possible. <br /> M <br />
