Additional trip hazard shaving has <br />taken place at a number of locations, with staff scheduling additional projects to come. <br />The Play Equipment Replacement Program administered by the Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br />Department is responsible for replacing or adding new amenities to parks. Current projects include added <br />shade structures to improve user sun safety at playgrounds and a site study for improved community water <br />amenities at the Hoover Pool complex. <br />Sewer <br />Over two miles of sanitary sewer pipeline is being replaced as part of the Collection System Replacement <br />Program this fiscal year. Construction began in October 2020 and is scheduled for completion by August <br />2021. An additional fifty-four thousand linear feet of sewer pipelines was video inspected by September <br />2020. The comprehensive Sanitary Sewer Master Plan is underway with a draft Master Plan expected by the <br />end of the fiscal year. <br />Approximately 50,000 linear feet of sewer pipelines has been inspected by close -circuit television (CCTV) to <br />date with another approximately 60,000 linear feet expected by the end of this fiscal year. A proposed <br />100,000 linear feet of sewer pipeline will be inspected in fiscal year 2021-22. <br />In October 2020, sewer pumps at Centrum Pump station were rebuilt, and a mixed flush valve was installed <br />to extend service life and pumping efficiency. At Pump Station 23, a pump was replaced due to identified <br />failures, also in October 2020. The rebuild and replacement of these pumps decrease staff time in responding <br />to station alarms and de -ragging of the pumps. <br />Storm Water <br />The Bayfront Canal and Atherton Channel Project design is nearing completion and staff is pursuing <br />regulatory permits. After funding is obtained, construction is anticipated to begin spring 2021. <br />Staff submitted a grant application to the California Office of Emergency Services (CaIOES) and the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to improve reliability and capacity of the City's storm water pump <br />stations. The grant is currently under review by CalOES for possible award. <br />Staff obtained grant funding for the design and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) analysis of the <br />Regional Storm Water Capture Project at Red Morton Park from the California Natural Resources Agency <br />(NRA) and the from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in corporation with the County of San <br />Mateo. The design contract has been awarded and the conceptual design will begin soon. <br />Technology <br />The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project continues to progress. TruePoint's TrueBill Utility Billing <br />System (UBS) went live September 2020. The go -live dates for the Oracle Cloud replacement of Finance, <br />Human Resources, and payroll functions were postponed due to the pandemic's impact on priorities and <br />workloads. The new planned go -live date for Finance is July 1, 2021, and October 1, 2021 for Human Capital <br />Management (HCM) and payroll.
