Staff intends to propose <br />replacing phase 3 functions previously within Oracle with NeoGov, a best -of -breed application for these <br />functions. <br />Transportation <br />Installation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) compliant curb ramps and sidewalk repairs <br />in the City's low -moderate income neighborhoods began on February 8, 2021. The project consists of <br />building or retrofitting 81 curb ramps and sidewalks to current ADA standards in areas with high pedestrian <br />activity. Many intersections in Redwood City do not have curb ramps, or the curb ramps do not comply with <br />the current ADA standards. Some existing sidewalks in high pedestrian activity neighborhoods have <br />deteriorated and are no longer comply compliant with the current ADA standards. These improvements will <br />increase pedestrian accessibility and safety. This project is funded with Community Development Block <br />Grant (CDBG) funds and is anticipated to be complete by spring 2021. <br />Progress continues on multiple projects on Middlefield Road. Construction of the utility undergrounding <br />project is complete. The utility companies are expected to take another six months to move their lines <br />underground. The streetscape project is roughly 95% complete and will finish this spring. <br />Work continues on defining right-of-way needs and associated costs for the Highway 101/84 Interchange <br />Project. Right-of-way work will continue through late 2021. The project is at the 95% design level and efforts <br />are shifting to procure construction funding. Funding efforts include updating available funding sources, <br />amounts, and timing of funding availability. Once that is complete, staff will work with the City Council, <br />Transportation Authority, and elected officials to advocate for the necessary funding. The current project <br />cost is $265M, of which roughly $50M has been committed to the project from multiple sources. <br />Staff is negotiating with consultants on an agreement to develop the City's first Bicycle and Pedestrian <br />Master Plan and Vision Zero Action Plan. While these plans are under development, staff continues to <br />advance priority projects including protected bicycle lanes on EI Camino Real and the Hopkins Avenue Traffic <br />Calming project. <br />Applications for the US -101 Pedestrian Undercrossing Project were submitted to four regulatory agencies <br />and approvals were received September 2018. Project bidding closed on January 30, 2019. Construction <br />began in the spring of 2019; however, the contractor was impacted and the project temporarily delayed by <br />the pandemic. Completion is anticipated spring 2021. <br />Water <br />Construction for the California Water Tank is underway, which consists of constructing a new 750,000 -gallon <br />water tank. The construction has continued through the peaks of the pandemic in 2019, and is on schedule. <br />Anticipate completion spring 2022. <br />The Peninsula Water Tank No. 2 was completed with 75% of the cost reimbursed by a California Office of <br />Emergency Services/Federal Emergency Management Agency (CalOES/FEMA) grant.
